Our Peru dark roast coffee is grown at extremely high altitudes approx. Peru is the largest exporter of organic Arabica coffee globally. 1500meters above sea level. Grown on organically farmed coffee plots less than 1 hectare with fertile soils helps our farmers produce the most stunning specialty coffee. You will be happy to know that our Peru Coffee is RFA Certified. RFA stands for Rainforest Alliance, a certification system that emphasizes climate-smart agriculture. RFA farms have at least 40% of land covered in canopy, significant species diversity (at least 12 native tree species per hectare, on average) and a system of natural vegetation buffers between agricultural land and bodies of water. The farms that grow our Peru dark roast coffee use organic fertilizers. We source our Nicaragua medium roast coffee from the best farms at approximately 1,300 meters above sea level. Nicaragua is known as the land of ‘los lagos y los volcanes’ (lakes and volcanos) and has many coffee growing ‘pockets’ that few have heard of or experienced. At our family farms, coffee trees are shaded by native trees that keep the environment cooler, promoting slow, dense cherry growth. The result is a creamy and cocoa taste with a pleasant sweetness and citrus acidity in our Nicaragua medium roast coffee. This delightful Honduras Dark Roast Coffee is grown on the imposing Santa Barbara Mountain in Honduras. The mountain is predominately a reserve of virgin forest declared a national park in 1987. Honduras is a small yet mighty coffee producer. The country boasts the largest per capita coffee production in the world. Our Strictly High Grown coffee (SHG) is grown on the mountain at an altitude range of approximately 1,650 meters above sea level from high end microlots. Our producing partners are dedicated to upholding their coffee-producing traditions, instilled by their parents and grandparents. Our Honduras Dark Roast Coffee originates from farmers who are 3rd or even 4th generation coffee producers.
